Trip to the Zoo

This past Sunday we ventured off the to the Toledo Zoo. We had a late start, as usual, and only had time to see a few of our favorite animals. We were all looking forward to seeing Grace's reaction to all the new creatures she was seeing for the first time. We started at the Arctic Encounter where we saw the seals feeding and the polar bears sunning themselves. We took a quick look at the aviary. Hannah was paranoid because on her last visit a bird dropped a "present" on her head. We then headed to the other side of the zoo in route to the primates.

Bummer of a Week

Well this was a rough week for us. I injured my back at some point last weekend and have been suffering for it since. The doctor believes I have a inflamed disk between my L5&S1 vertebrae. The same disk Brian had surgery on last year. The swelling is pinching my sciatic nerve, causing a lot of pain in my left leg. I had to work from home Wednesday through Friday because I could only stand or lay down and was not able to drive. I finally recieved some steroids on Friday night and am beginning to feel some relief. I'm praying that the swelling will continue to go down and I will not have any long term problems. To make matters worse, Hannah injured her right elbow on her last day at camp. For some reason she thought she was a gymnast, was doing cartwheels and hyper extended her elbow. She had to go to the doctors right after she arrived at the school. She went for x-rays yesterday but, we are waiting to hear back from the doctor. Thank God for Jamey's patience this week. Without her I would have been stuck at home and still be in a lot of pain.

Baby News!

Once again the Koralewski family has welcomed another addition. Calli Marie was born on Friday, April 18th at 11:27 AM in Pennsylvania. She was 7lbs. 10oz. and was 19 1/2" long. Her parents, Matt and Rikki, were excited to see their second addition to their family. Above you see Dad and big brother, Coen, with Calli. Congratulations!

Yard Work

Well, after 3 years of talking about it, we finally cut down the pine tree in our front yard. Caleb was heart broken that we killed a perfectly good, living tree. We told him we will plant another one in it's place. I can't wait to hear what the neighbors have to say.

On the left, you can see my dad up in the tree risking life and limb helpping us with the task. Fortunately we were able to finish the work before the rain started. Now we have another landscaping job for the summer.

And then there were 5...

We are proud to announce that we are now expecting the fifth addition to our family. We were surprised to find out that Jamey was pregnant after we returned from our cruise in March. We wanted to wait to share the good news but, we are not good with secrets and decided to spill the beans. Jamey is due on November 17th, 2008. She is hoping to hold out until her birthday on December 8th because she always wanted to have a baby on her birthday. Caleb is hoping for a brother so that he is not the only boy in the house. The older girls don't care what we have this time as long as they don't have to share their room with anyone else. We are all still in a lot of shock because this is the last thing we ever expected.
